Jury Service
For Citizens Serving Jury Duty
Your service as a juror is an indispensable and integral part of ensuring each individual’s right to a fair and impartial trial. In fact, the right to a jury is the cornerstone of our country’s justice system.

Language Assistance Plan
Clark County Circuit Court Language Assistance Program
It is the policy of the Circuit Court of Clark County to provide meaningful access to all Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons who use the courts’ services. In accordance with federal mandates and state requirements, this court and all its personnel shall provide free language assistance services to all LEP individuals who request such assistance. Members of the public shall be informed that language assistance services are available to individuals and that the circuit courts shall provide those services to them upon request.

Passport Information
Obtaining a Passport
Passport reference information is available at the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs website, including a list of acceptance facilities, application forms that may be downloaded, and detailed explanations of service options, such as expedite fees and much more.
Passport applications are also available through this office. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Please arrive at our office by 4:00 pm if you are applying for a passport.
The following items are needed to apply for a passport:

A payment plan fee based on the amount of your fine will be assessed to your payment plan.

Paying Court Costs, Fines & Fees Online
There are two options for paying court costs, fines and fees online. Please read the following information carefully.

Paying Through Government Payment Services (GPS)
The Clark County Clerk of Courts accepts credit or debit card payments through Government Payment Services (GPS), a third party agency. Payment can be made using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Credit or debit cards. Payments may be made online or by phone at (888) 604-7888, 24 hours a day. A service fee will be added to the amount of fees paid. Payments can be made for the following items:-

Small Claims Information
Small Claims
A small claims action is started by completing a small claims summons and complaint. Information on filing this form and other small claims forms are available on the Wisconsin Court System’s website.
E-filing is available at wicourts.gov
When the action is filed, the Clerk of Courts office will schedule a “return date” and insert this court date on the summons and complaint. An affidavit of non-military service is also required to be completed at the time of filing. Appearance by both parties on the return data is mandatory.
Filing Fees
If the defendant resides in Clark County, the fee is $96.50 and the defendant will be served by First Class Mail. If the defendant resides out of county the fee is $94.50 and personal service to be arranged by you is required. You must provide an affidavit or certificate of service prior to your court date. If this is an eviction action the fee is $94.50 and personal service is required. Mail completed forms to:

Traffic Citations / Court Information
Traffic Citation Court Dates
The date indicated on your citation is the date of your initial appearance. An initial appearance is your opportunity to enter a plea to the charge. You may plead guilty, no contest, or not guilty. The initial appearance is not a trial date. If you plead guilty or no contest, the court will find you guilty and the matter will be resolved on this date. If you plead not guilty, your case will be scheduled for a pretrial conference to be held at a later date.
Non-Mandatory Appearances
If the date on your citation is not a mandatory appearance and you wish to plead not guilty, you may do this by mail or fax prior to the date on your citation. You may send your plea by mail to 517 Court Street, Room 405, Neillsville, WI 54456 or by fax to (715) 743-5187. Please include a copy of your citation and your current address along with your plea. This must be received prior to the date on your citation. A date for a telephonic pretrial conference will be mailed to you.
