  • Clark County Highway Department Releases 2022 Highway Project Notice

    Neillsville - The Clark County Highway department has released their plan for the 2022 highway project involving County Highway K. Details and virtual public involvement meeting are hosted online on their official county page – clarkcounty.wi.gov/highway. The public is invited to view the presentation and offer any questions or concerns about the proposed highway project and its potential impacts. Please return comments by November 10, 2020.

  • Clark County Forest 15-Year Comprehensive Land Use Plan

    The public is invited to submit written comments on the draft Clark County Forest Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2021 – 2035 (Plan). The Plan expires December 31, 2020 and is the 5th generation plan for the Clark County Forest. The Plan outlines policies and procedures Clark County uses to administer and manage the county forest. Timber management, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities, access and more are included in the Plan. In September 2019, Clark County enlisted the assistance of a diverse, ten-member advisory team to begin formulating draft language for the Plan. The Clark County Forestry and Parks Committee requests public input before final revisions are made and the Plan is submitted to the Clark County Board of Supervisors for final approval. Draft copies of the Plan are available electronically on the Clark County website at the following address: https://www.clarkcountywi.com/forestry-parks. Hard copies are also available for review at the Forestry and Parks Department business office in the courthouse. Written comments may be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on October 27, 2020 to: countyforestplan@co.clark.wi.us or Clark County Forestry and Parks Department, 517 Court Street, Room 103, Neillsville, WI 54456. All comments must include your complete name and address to be recognized.

    Clark County Sheriff's Office SEX OFFENDER INFORMATION BULLETIN September 21, 2020 The Clark County Sheriff's Office is releasing the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense. Further, his criminal history places him in a classification level, which reflects the potential to re-offend. This sex offender has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is NOT wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated. Harold S. Dambruch had previously served his sentence for First Degree Sexual Assault of a child and will be residing at N8473 County Highway K, Loyal, WI 54446. This information is being provided to make sure the public is aware of the location of Mr. Dambruch’s residence in the community. Offense Summary: Mr. Dambruch served his sentence for first-degree sexual assault of a child, sexual contact with a minor male and minor female. Name: Harold S. Dambruch Age: 53 Sex: Male Race: White Height: 5’09” Weight: 154 Hair Brown (graying) Eyes: Blue Mr. Dambruch will be supervised by agents specializing in intensive supervision. He is to have no unsupervised contact with minors, not to consume drugs. He must comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with electronic monitoring. He is also required to have face-to-face contact with law enforcement and comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. Mr. Montgomery sexually assaulted two minor males who were known to him. Name: Charles A. Montgomery Age: 63 Sex: Male Race: White Height: 5’10” Weight: 222 Hair Grey Eyes: Brown Mr. Montgomery will be supervised by agents specializing in intensive supervision.
